South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week Announced

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during week three of the 2024 season. Anderson's Diego Jaramillo was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Limestone's Nikolaj Bertelsen brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Jaramillo, a senior from Cali, Colombia, had a monster week as Anderson posted wins over Montevallo and Mars Hill. Jaramillo recorded a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Montevallo on Wednesday and needed just five shots. He was credited with the game winning goal in the match. He followed that up with an assist in a 2-1 win over Mars Hill on Saturday.   

Bertelsen, a freshman from Veijle, Denmark, led Limestone to a pair of wins over nationally ranked opponents last week. Against No. 25 Florida Tech, Bertelsen made eight saves and recorded a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory. He followed that up with eight more saves and another clean sheet in a 1-0 win over No. 4 Wingate.
