South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week Announced

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during week two of the 2024 season. Mars Hill's Peter Plougmand was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Lincoln Memorial's Daniel Benedek Miklosi brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Plougmand, a senior from Odense, Denmark, tied a Mars Hill record with a four-goal outburst in Mars Hill's 7-2 win over Newberry. His four goals and eight points are the most by a SAC player in a game so far this season and it's the second four-goal game of his career. He scored those four goals on seven shots and was credited with the game-winner. Mars Hill was 1-0-1 this week.  

Benedek Miklosi, a sophomore from Budapest, Hungary, helped the Railsplitters to a 1-0-1 week with a tie against Lee and a 2-1 win at North Georgia. He played all 180 minutes in goal and allowed just two scores and recorded nine saves. He posted an .818 save percentage in the two matches.
