2011 SAC Men's Soccer Headlines

Lincoln Memorial freshman forward Mario Pinto was selected to the NSCAA All-Southeast Region First Team on Tuesday, headlining a list of eight SAC men's soccer players earning All-Region honors.

For the second time in his stellar career, Anderson University forward Lasse Sohrweide has been named to the 2011 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-America First Team, as announced Thursday morning.

The 10th-ranked Flagler College Saints advanced to the Quarterfinals of NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship with a 3-0 win over Mars Hill College on Sunday afternoon. The win improves Flagler to 17-3-2, while Mars Hill's season comes to an end with a record of 13-6-1.

Mars Hill used two first-half goals by Alex Mullen and Stephen Bivens to defeat the top seed in the Southeast Region and No. 5-ranked team in the nation Coker, 2-1, in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship Second Round on Friday night.
