Lincoln Memorial's Durkan and Robinson Highlight 2025 SAC Men’s Golf Awards

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial senior George Durkan has been named the 2025 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfer of the Year, while his head coach Brad Robinson has been voted the league's Coach of the Year. Wingate's Brandon Skidmore earned SAC Freshman of the Year honors, the Conference office announced today.

Durkan, a senior from Much Hadham, England, has been one of the most consistent and dominant performers in NCAA Division II this season. Ranked No. 9 nationally and No. 2 in the Southeast Region, he finished inside the top 10 in every event this spring, with three top-five finishes. His spring was highlighted by an individual title at the Tennessee River Rumble and a runner-up performance at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. Durkan boasts a 69.9 scoring average, carded nine rounds under par, and recorded five rounds in the 60s, including a season-best 66 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic.

Skidmore, a freshman from Gloucester, England, is ranked No. 32 nationally and has quickly emerged as one of the top young players in the conference. He notched five top-five finishes and placed inside the top 20 in seven of his 10 tournaments this season. His best results include a runner-up finish at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate (-8), third place at both the Jay Jennison Cup (-2) and Bearcat Classic (-7), and a fourth-place showing at the Bearcat Spring Classic (-1).

Robinson earns SAC Coach of the Year honors after guiding Lincoln Memorial to another impressive campaign. The Railsplitters picked up tournament wins at the Tennessee River Rumble and Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, and posted four top-three finishes. LMU placed five golfers across the All-Conference teams, including two on the First Team, while remaining a fixture in the national rankings.

The 2025 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship will run from Sunday, April 13 through Tuesday, April 15 at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, S.C.
