Anderson’s McGaha and Lincoln Memorial’s Durkan Named SAC WePlayed Sports Golfers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – Anderson's Kennedy McGaha and Lincoln Memorial's George Durkan have been named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, the conference office announced today.

McGaha, a senior from Honea Path, S.C., secured first place finish at the Findlay Spring Invite with a tournament-low 12-under-par 204. She fired rounds of 67, 66, and 71 to win the event by five strokes, leading Anderson to the team title. Her performance included three rounds under par, contributing to an impressive 68.0 stroke average for the tournament.

Durkan, a senior from Much Hadham, England, claimed individual medalist honors at the Tennessee River Rumble, finishing atop a field of 100 golfers. He posted rounds of 71, 72, and 68 for a winning total of five-under-par. His efforts helped Lincoln Memorial secure the team championship, finishing first out of 20 teams.
