Wingate's Hyland and Bochaton Named SAC WePlayed Sports Golfers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (March 12, 2025) – Wingate's Jordan Hyland and Amely Bochaton have been named the WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, the Conference office announced today.

Hyland, a graduate student from Northern Ireland, claimed first-place honors at the Bearcat Classic with an 11-under-par 205. He posted rounds of 69, 67, and 69 to win the event by two strokes. His performance led the No. 16 Wingate men's golf team to victory with a 17-under-par 847, defeating No. 5 Grand Valley State by four strokes. This marks back-to-back tournament wins for Wingate for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Bochaton, a freshman from France, secured her fourth individual title in nine events, winning the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate with a tournament-record seven-under-par 209. She carded rounds of 71, 70, and 68 to take first place by five strokes. Bochaton's efforts helped No. 2 Wingate claim a one-stroke victory over No. 1 Anderson.
