Hauk and Allison Named SAC WePlayed Sports Golfers of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Emory & Henry's McKenzie Hauk was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Golfer of the Week and Lenoir-Rhyne's Holt Allison was named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfers of the Week for events played during the second two weeks of the 2024-25 season, the Conference office announced today.
Hauk, a freshman from Kingsport, Tenn., earned her first career top-five finish with a runner-up performance at the King Invitational. Hauk shot a 74-71 (145, +3) to make it back-to-back top 10 finishes to open the season. She helped Emory & Henry finish within three shots of first place as a team with their second-best 36-hole raw score in program history.
Allison, a senior from Conover, N.C., took home medalist honors at the Jay Jennison Cup. Allison shot a 70-70-67 (207, -9) was the only golfer to finish under par in all three rounds and won the tournament by four strokes. He was one of just three competitors under par.
This bi-monthly award is given to the top golfer in the SAC based on their results from the previous two weeks of play.
