Softball Splits on the Road Against Mount Olive

Mount Olive, NC. – The Cobras took went to battle against the Trojans in an out of conference match-up.

Game 1- L 1-0

 Coker made it a tough win for Mount Olive. With just giving up a run the first the Trojans went on to go six scoreless. Janea Fedewa threw a six-inning facing 27 bats and only allowing a single run. The Cobras went on to drop the game.

Game 2- W 5-4

The cobras woke the bats up in the second game. Mount Olive scored early in the game taking a 1-0 lead. At the top of the second Caitlyn Wray reached on the fielder's choice to get on base. Kayla Oswell reached first putting Cobras on first and second.   Julie Hillia stepped up to the plate looking to make some noise and wake her team up.  With a crack of the bat she put one over center field wall putting Coker up 3-1.

Chloe Pelham kept things rolling in the top of the third finding an opening on the right side of the field getting herself a single. Wray came up to the plate and with a swing of the bat opened up the lead to 5-1. It came to the wire at the end as the Trojans put up another three runs but, wasn't enough as the Cobras won 5-4.
