BANNER ELK, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College picked up a 6-1 victory over Tusculum University in non-conference women's tennis Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats (3-3) won two of the three doubles matches and five of six in singles to pick up the win over the Pioneers (0-3).
Tusculum claimed a victory in doubles as Elodie Baechler teamed with Ylva Frafjord Landa for a 6-0 win at flight one over Pati Vedia Sanchez and Anita Ivanova. Baechler also collected a win in singles as she defeated Vedia 6-4, 6-3 at flight one.
The Pioneers will kick off their South Atlantic Conference schedule on Wednesday, March 5 at Anderson beginning at 11 a.m.
