Cobras Fall to Emmanuel (GA) and Lander

GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Coker University softball team fell to both Emmanuel (GA) and Lander by scores of 3-1 and 5-1 today in day one of the Bearcat/Fleet Invitational in Greenwood, S.C.. 

Game One vs Emmanuel (GA)

Coker would hold the Lions scoreless until the fourth inning, when they would score of a RBI sacrifice fly to right field. Emmanuel would tack on two runs in the sixth to take a 6-0 lead. In the bottom of sixth Ava Jay's single to center would score Makenizie Harmon.

Game Two vs Lander

Both Lander and Coker would remain scoreless through five innings. Chloe Pelham would get Coker on the board when she would launch a homerun over the left field wall to put the Cobras up 1-0 headed into the bottom of the sixth. Lander would come back and score five runs in the sixth to bring the final game score to 5-1 in favor of Lander.
