How It Happened
The Cobras jumped on Chowan early, taking a 3-0 lead with a little under eight minutes left in the first quarter. All three of those goals were scored by Justin Beighey, who had a hat-trick with not even ten minutes played in the contest. Chowan scored after to bring it to 3-1, but then the Cobras rattled off four more goals in the first quarter (Ajemian, Forehand, Kaleb Hiltz, and Brandon Calidonio) to take a 7-1 lead heading into the second period of play.
The Hawks attempted to make this one interesting at the beginning of the second quarter, scoring four unanswered to make this a 7-5 game. After that, the Cobras decided to lay this one to rest. Between the end of the second and mid-way through the fourth, the Cobras scored ten unanswered goals in a row to overpower the Hawks in their own stadium. When it was all said and done, the Cobras walked away with a 17-8 victory!
