JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Women's Tennis celebrated senior day with a full-match sweep of in-state foe Johnson.

Johnson (Tenn.) (6-12) traveled to Mossy Creek from nearby Knoxville to take on Carson-Newman (11-3) for the first time on the Eagles' senior day. It wasn't a pleasant trip for the visiting Royals as the Eagles broke out the brooms in a 7-0 sweep.

"We're so proud of [our seniors]," Carson-Newman Women's Tennis head coach Nathan Gangelhoff said. "We're so humbled that they get to be here and be a part of our Carson-Newman family, we're sad to see them go but we're happy for where God is going to take them."

The Eagles got things going early with a clean sweep of doubles as the spring debut of the Mar Fraile and Andrea Aguiar pairing got the win on Court No. 3 in a 6-2 decision.

Singles were the Eagles' strong suit, dominating the Royals and outscoring them 72-14 across all six courts.
