JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Women's Tennis opens its South Atlantic Conference season.
Limestone only had one win before taking down UVA Wise, its first win of the season coming against North Greenville.
Limestone enters the match with the Eagles at 2-4 with a 1-1 mark in conference play, while the match is Carson-Newman's conference opener. Limestone took non-conference losses to Francis Marion and Erskine and got swept in its conference opener against Catawba.
The Saints also got a season-opening opportunity against Division I Gardner-Webb falling 6-1.
The player to watch for Limestone is Maria Cecilia-Gomez.
Carson-Newman has faced Limestone six times with the Saints winning the two most recent meetings.
First serve will be at 12:30 p.m. at the Rector Tennis Complex in Gaffney, S.C.
