HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's lacrosse team (3-11, 0-7 SAC) fell to Lenoir-Rhyne (6-7, 3-2 SAC) by a score of 19-1 Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference play.
The Bears ended the first quarter up 6-0 with Anthony Fraga's two goals pacing their offense. Fraga picked up two assists in the frame on the final two markers scored by Quinn Kuhn and Connor Stanley.
Lenoir-Rhyne extended their lead to 14-0 before Mars Hill got on the board. Spencer Andrews, with the man advantage, scored the lone Mars Hill tally of the contest, assisted on by Zac Carrigan.
The Bears would go on to score five goals in the second half to pick up their sixth win of the season.
Ryan Bell led all players with seven points (5g, 2a) on the day. Noah Johnson earned the win, making eight saves in 45 minutes of play.
Mars Hill concludes the 2019 season on Saturday, April 20th when they host Newberry inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium on Senior Day. Faceoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
