Box Score Huntsville, AL – The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team falls to the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Wednesday morning 6-20.
The Railsplitters put themselves on the board first not even two minutes into the game when
Josie Tinnerello scores with 13:17 remaining with the assist coming from
McKenzie Cates. The Chargers would even the score 1-1 when Fudjinski adds a man-up goal with 11:04 left in the first. Lincoln Memorial would regain the lead to make the score 2-1, thanks to Cates scoring a free-position goal with 8:07 remaining. UAH would then tie up the match once again, and then take the lead when 4 Chargers score goals: Rutherford with 7:19 remaining, Pfleger (Rutherford) with 5:59 remaining, Bronson with 5:09 remaining, and Rutherford (Wheatley) with 4:48 remaining to make the score 2-5 with less than five minutes remaining.
Jaedyn Ryba would respond with an unassisted goal of her own almost 2.5 minutes later, with 2:16 remaining in the first quarter. Alabama-Huntsville would get the last goal of the quarter with Rutherford scoring with 0:22 left in the quarter. The score going into the second quarter would be 3-6 with the Chargers in the lead.
UAH would do all the scoring in the second quarter, with goals coming from: Pfleger with 13:02 remaining, Fudjunski with 7:49 remaining, Baker with 5:28 remaining, Flanagan with 3:44 remaining, Bauroth with 3:08 remaining, Cole with 0:39 remaining, and Flanagan with 0:21 remaining. The score going into halftime would be 3-13 with UAH in the lead.
The Chargers would go into the third quarter with the first goal, with Wheatley scoring with 13:11 remaining. Goals would then come from Bronson with 9:57 remaining, Fudjinski with 7:22 remaining, and Robertson with 4:25 remaining. Lincoln Memorial would post their fourth goal of the game with 2:16 remaining in the third, with the goal coming from
Amber Kirkpatrick with Cates earning her second assist of the match. Cates would then get her second goal of the match with a free-position goal with 0:35 remaining in the third. The score going into the final quarter would be 5-17 with UAH taking the lead.
The Railsplitters would be the first to score in the fourth quarter, with
Jaiden Jaynes scoring her first goal of the match with
Brookelyn Walls earning her first assist. The Chargers would then net in two more goals: Bauroth with two goals with 7:49 remaining and 5:50 remaining. With 1:07 remaining, UAH's Bohan would score a goal. That would be the last goal of the game, which gives UAH the win 6-20.
