HOW IT HAPPENED
Boulbin and van Ooststroom teamed up at the second doubles slot to defeat their Newberry opponent 8-2 to give Limestone its only point headed into singles play.
During singles play, Haus handed her Newberry opponent a 6-2, 6-4 match loss as she worked her record to 2-1 in singles play for the season. Van Ooststroom earned her first singles match win of the season after defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0 in the fifth spot. Despite efforts from the Saints, Newberry came away with the overall match win by a final score of 5-3.
UP NEXT
The Saints return to action on Sunday, Feb. 19 when they host the University of South Carolina Aiken. The non-conference match is set to begin at 1 p.m. at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center.
