
Lions win third straight, roll Limestone on road
The Mars Hill football team (5-2, 3-1 SAC) reeled off a 32-3 win over Limestone (0-5, 0-3 SAC) Saturday evening for their third straight victory.
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill football team (5-2, 3-1 SAC) reeled off a 32-3 win over Limestone (0-5, 0-3 SAC) Saturday evening for their third straight victory.
The Mars Hill defense held Limestone scoreless until the final 1:10 of the contest where the Saints were able to manage a 40-yard field goal for their only points of the contest. Mars Hill held Limestone to 135 yards of total offense on the day and caused three turnovers, all interceptions pulled down by Tristan Rankin.
The Lions put up 349 yards of offense and controlled the ball for over 35 minutes on the day. Joraye Morrison rushed for over 100 yards for the first time in his career, leading all players with 114 yards on 26 carries.
