Cobras Play to Scoreless 2OT Draw Against Catawba

SALISBURY, N.C. – 110 minutes was not enough time to decide a winner as the Coker University men's soccer team played to a scoreless double-overtime draw on Sunday (Mar. 7) night against  Catawba College.

Both squads had limited opportunities in the first half of play due to stellar defense, as Catawba recorded two shots with the Cobras firing off one.

In the second half, Coker fired off two shots while Catawba recorded four shots. In overtime, the Cobras recorded seven shots while holding Catawba to just one. Once again, stellar defensive play was displayed for the remainder of the match as the contest finished in a scoreless draw.

Luca Leonini led the way offensively for the Cobras, recording three shots with two of them on goal. Other Cobras delivering shots were Adam Kennedy (2), Morgan Ratcliffe (2), Hugo Jonsson (1), Alex Doulos (1), Gustavo Palmieri (1) and Carson Onoazko (1). In goal, Guillermo Ejea had an excellent night by accumulating three saves.
