MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's soccer team (3-2-2, 1-2-1 SAC) drew 0-0 with Carson-Newman (3-3-2, 2-2-1 SAC) Wednesday night.
The teams stayed scoreless after the first 45 minutes of play. The Lions started the contest with a 3-0 shot advantage, but the Eagles rallied to register the next eight shot attempts. Camryn Miller made four saves.
In the second half, Carson-Newman outshot the Lions 8-1, but stellar defensive efforts by the Lions prevented the Eagles from breaking the scoreless tie.
Bailey Whitehead-Price led the Lions with two shots followed by one from Samantha Swinson.
Miller made six saves in the draw.
The Lions face Catawba on Saturday, September 30 at 1 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
