Baseball Wins on the Road Vs the Pacers

 

Aiken, SC. – Coker traveled to Aiken to take on the Pacers. Coker looked to bounce back as they dropped a close one Tuesday evening. Coker jumped to an early lead and pushed through with the win on a cloudy Wednesday evening. Coker controlled the game early and won the game 9-3. 

Coker wasted no time taking the lead in the game. In just the 2nd inning Zack Wall got it started for the cobras as he singled into right field with the bases loaded scoring Kody Hanna. Landon Reeves grounded out but was able to get a run in putting Coker up 2-0. Adam Wilkerson grounded out as well but pushed through another Jaylen Mack run going up 3-0. Coker was not done in the inning yet as Caleb McCants singled up the middle scoring Wall and growing the lead 4-0 in just the second inning. Donavan Frayer came up big in the 5th inning blasting a home run over the fence putting the team up 5-0. McCants singled again in the 6th scoring Reeves. Cameron Ferrell found the outfield scoring Wilkerson as Coker went up 7-2. McCants scored on a passed ball by the catcher as the Cobras went up 8-2. Reeves hit into a double play in the 8th but Frayer was able to score on the play which put the score at 9-3. Collin Breland had himself a night as he went through the six innings and only allowed two runs. Coker went on to hold the lead and win the Wednesday evening match-up.
