Coker Hosts Wingate for Monday Game (April 3rd)

Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Baseball Team dropped their game against Wingate on Monday by a score of 13-4.

Wingate went up early in the top of the third inning, a homerun that scored two runs for the Bulldogs. Wingate continued to post more runs throughout the game, adding an additional eight runs by the seventh inning. Coker continued to fight back and with a home run from Nick Leonard, the Cobras posted their first runs of the game. This took Wingate's lead down to just seven runs. The Bulldogs registered three more runs by the end of the ninth while Adam Wilkerson was the fourth and final run for the Cobras.

Of the 37 at bats, Coker collected nine hits and four runs. Nick Leonard also led in RBI's with four for the day. 

Aaron Diaz, Collin Breland, Ryan Ford, and Noah Emig all pitched against the Bulldogs. Between the four pitches, they faced a total of 48 batters with six strikeouts.

The Cobras return to the field on Tuesday (April 4) against UNC Pembroke. The first pitch is set to be thrown at 6 PM in Pembroke, NC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com
