
Sorvillo logs 15th career brace; Women’s Lacrosse falls at Anderson
ANDERSON, S.C. — The Catawba College women's lacrosse was put behind the eight ball early, precipitating a 18-4 defeat against the Anderson Trojans on Saturday afternoon at Spero Financial Field.
TEAM STATS
- Anderson (7-5, 5-1 SAC) possessed a sizable edge in shots, attempting 35 compared to Catawba's (5-7, 3-5 SAC) nine
- The Catawba Indians were haunted by a 23-7 disadvantage in the turnovers department, setting up a 19-9 Trojan lead in ground balls
- The blue and white found ample success on the draw, pocketing 14 draw controls while Anderson managed 11
- The Trojans went a flawless 14-for-14 on clears against Catawba's 12-for-14 mark
- Ava Kunza chalked up nine saves on a .333 day in the crease, while AU's Amelia King made three stops on the other end to earn the win

- Allison Filosa enjoyed a solid day on defense with two caused turnovers, two ground balls and four draw controls
