
Cobras Sweep UVA Wise for Saturday South Atlantic Conference Win

The Cobras took the first set 25-15, jumping out to leads of 7-3 and then 10-4. The Cobras would be first to 15 in the set, before eventually pulling away in the set 22-12. Coker won three out of the final six points to take the first set.
Coker jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the second set, before later taking a 13-11 lead in the set. The Cobras would go on a 7-3 run to go up 20-14, before taking five of the final nine points to win the set.
Coker jumped out to an early lead in the third set, before taking control of the frame at 19-11. The Cobras would win six of the final nine points to capture the set and the conference victory on the road.
Lauren Loveday and Taylor Parker led the Cobras with seven kills apiece, while Chelsey Blume added six and Alyssa Lake posted five. Rami Mullen and Naomi Earl-Reyes each registered four kills, while Ashley Carson had two and Taylor Hills had one. Carson dished out a team-high 14 assists for the Cobras in the contest, while Mullen added 12 and Makayla Harris had four. Blume, Lake and Earl-Reyes each also had one assist in the match. Blume posted the lone solo block for Coker, while Lake posted a career-high four block assists and Earl-Reyes also had three. Blume, Loveday and Parker also each had one block assist in the match.
