Trojans Eliminated from South Atlantic Conference Semifinals; 2-0

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University men's soccer fell to seventh-seeded Queens, 2-0, as the Royals eliminated the Trojans from the semifinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Friday afternoon at Rock Hill's Manchester Meadows.

With the setback, AU closes its 2017 campaign with a 9-8-1 overall record, while the Royals 9-5-4 advance to the finals where they will square off with top-seeded Wingate in Rock Hill on Sunday.

The Trojans posted 11 shots for the contest, as senior forward Lars Kaula tallied four. Seven Anderson shots found the frame with Kaula leading the way with three of his shots on goal.

Queens' scored in each half to set the final score at 2-0. All-SAC first team selection Edmundo Robinson scored his 13th goal of the season at the 55th minute mark.

Freshman keeper Gal Elyashiv recorded six saves on the afternoon totaling 15 for the tournament.

The setback pushes AU's record to 11-3-2 all-time in the SAC Championship since joining the league before the 2010 season.
