Women's Basketball Falls at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday

HARROGATE, Tenn. - Coker University women's basketball fell at Lincoln Memorial in South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday (Nov. 27) by a score of 73-42.

Lincoln Memorial jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, before taking a 25-12 lead to the second.

The Cobras were able to get back within single digits in the first minute of the second quarter, before Lincoln Memorial would re-gain their double-digit lead and take it to the half, leading 43-22.

Lincoln Memorial carried its double-digit lead through the second half to the final horn for the victory.

Saquita Joyner led the Cobras with 14 points, while Dasia Lambert finished with nine points. Six other Cobras contributed points in the contest. Coker out-rebounded LMU 39-34 in the game, led by eight rebounds from Lambert. Hope Richardson and Ahlea Myers each pulled down six rebounds, while six others were active in the rebounding effort for Coker. Myers dished out a game-high eight assists, while three others helped on Coker buckets in the contest. Joyner led with two steals, while Lambert also had one. Richardson registered all three of Coker's blocks in the game. 

Coker returns to the hardwood on Wednesday (Dec. 1) at Catawba in South Atlantic Conference action. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from Salisbury, N.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
