The Cobras Sweep at Home on Thursday Night Match-up

Game-1 W (11-2)

In just the first inning the Broncos took an early lead with a few base hits to start the game going up (2-0). That was the only runs the Broncos manage to score.  The Cobras went on the strike offensively. Lead by Delaney Eaves who had a great game and scored Kelsi Scott who reached earlier and put herself in scoring position. Caitlyn Wray came up to the plate looking to capitalize on the momentum. With a pitch in her sweet spot, Wray unloaded her power and took it over the fence for a two-run homerun putting Coker up (3-2).

At the Bottom of the third the Cobras were on the attack again. Cameron Jackson, Kayla Oswell, Hannah Davis, and Mya Cribbs all drove in runs for combine six runs putting the team up (9-2).

Eaves went on to record a second RBI in the game Scoring Chloe PelhamAshton Goodwin put the finishing touch on the game driving in a run and putting the Cobras up (11-2).

 

Game-2 W (8-1)

The Cobras kept it rolling in the second game with Eaves hitting a double and putting herself in scoring position as well as driving in another RBI in the match-up scoring Pelham. Brooklyn Stueness look to find an opening as she did and hit a line drive up the middle scoring Mackenzie Harmon making the score (2-0).

 

In the fourth Eaves yet again recorded another RBI scoring Jackson on a fly out. Pelham took home on a dropped passed ball by the catcher putting them up (4-0).  The Broncos managed to put a run on the board in the fourth yet again going scoreless for the remainder of the game.  Stueness came up big hitting a single into center field scoring Davis putting them up (5-1).

Harmon in the bottom of the sixth scored on an error and building the lead (6-1). Jessica McWhorter came in to pinch hit in the sixth to hit a double and score Stueness.  Carter Freeman as well pinch hit and cracked a double recording an RBI and helping Coker win the game (8-1).
