Newberry jumped out to an early lead to beat Coker in SAC matchup.

Hartsville, Sc. - Newberry put home three goals in the second quarter to pull away from Coker in Tuesday's conference match.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After almost two weeks without any games, Coker resumed action Tuesday night.
Each team had opportunities in the first quarter to put home a goal and take an early lead, but neither were able to seize the opportunity.
The Cobras were able to stop multiple corner attempts by the Wolves. Numerous attempts were shot on goal, but saved by goalie Eve Sekscinski who had six saves on the night.
At the end of one each team sat in a 0-0 tie. The Wolves struck first in the second, when Emma Westbrook put a rebounded shot into the back of the net for Newberry.
The Wolves would tack on two more in the second quarter to take a 3-0 lead into the half.
Coker didn't stop competing in the second half, as they drew five total second half corners. Four of which were in the fourth quarter.
Kaiya Sabur put three shots on goal for the Cobras to lead the team, while Aleena Januchowksi added one of her own.
UP NEXT:
Coker returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Limestone. The match is set for 6:00 p.m.
