Women’s Soccer Falls at Tusculum; 2-0

GREENEVILLE, TENN. – Two second half goals sink the Anderson University women's soccer team on the road at South Atlantic Conference opponent Tusculum Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

With the setback, the Trojans fall to 2-4-1 overall and 1-2 in SAC action while Tusculum improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Pioneers capitalized on two scoring chances in the 67th and 72nd minute to avenge last season loss to the Trojans in the first round of the SAC Tournament.

Tusculum outshot the Black and Gold 16 – 1 while also holding the advantage in corner kicks, 7-1.

Junior Abby Helm recorded three saves on the afternoon pushing her season total to 42.

Anderson returns home to host SAC foe Carson-Newman on Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 5 p.m.
