Joyce nets hat-trick versus Limestone on road

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (5-5, 1-4 SAC) was defeated by Limestone (8-3, 4-1 SAC) by a score of 18-4 Wednesday afternoon on the road.
The Lions netted three goals in the first half of play with Sydney Joyce scoring twice. Alexa Tazzetta scored Mars Hill's first goal of the afternoon.
Mars Hill was held to just one goal in the second half with Joyce netting her third to collect the hat-trick.
Elizabeth Muscella led all players with nine points (6g, 3a) followed by Megan Davis' six (3g, 3a).
Madelyn DeSoto stopped three shots in 36:28 of play to earn her fifth win of the season. Virginia Joy made 14 saves for the Lions.
Mars Hill will host Senior Day on Saturday, April 2 when the Lions take on Coker. First draw control is set for 4 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
