Baseball Takes on the Braves in a Wednesday Night Game

Hartsville, SC. – Coker faced UNC Pembroke in a South Atlantic Conference game. Coker had swept on the road over the weekend but unfortunately dropped their away game Tuesday evening against Mount Olive.

 

UNC Pembroke manages to drive in a run at the top of the 1st giving the Braves a 1-0 lead after one. Jaylen Mack singled and scored Ashby Vining and tied the game up. Adam Wilkerson singled into right center scoring Mack and giving the Cobras the lead 2-1. The Braves came back to take the lead at the top of the 3rd 4-2. At the top of the 4th Coker was able to go down by one as Landon Reeves scored Mack from third on an error on the first baseman making the score 4-3. Coker's bullpen combined seven strikeouts and only two walks. Cameron Ferrell had two hits on the night. Kody Hanna, Vining, and Wilkerson all collected hits in a loss to Pembroke 4-3.
