
Cuk, Lilly lead Lions past Railsplitters on road

HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (12-6, 4-5 SAC) defeated Lincoln Memorial (3-9, 2-5 SAC), 3-1, (25-13, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19) Tuesday night on the road.
The Lions posted 17 kills in the first set, hitting .261 and forcing the Railsplitters to hit -.026 in the opening frame. Lincoln Memorial responded in the second set, hitting .241 with 12 kills while the Lions had eight kills and eight errors, posting a .000 in the set.
Mars Hill took the final two sets, highlighted by their fourth set performance that saw 18 kills on 48 attempts with a game-high .271 hitting percentage.
Lincoln Memorial recorded 9.5 blocks on the night to the Lions' three and collected 93 digs to Mars Hill's 87. The Lions had three players net double-digit kills with Jana Cuk leading the team with 16 and hitting .382.
