How It Happened:
Game 1: The Wasps opened the scoring with a run in the first inning, but Coker responded in a big way with a three-run stretch between the second and third innings. It started off with Palmer hitting an RBI double to score Andrews to make it 1-1, followed by Bailee Gaskins grounding out in a bases-loaded scenario to score Hennessy and take the lead. The third of the runs was scored when Andrews hit a SAC fly to score Ariana Fair and make this one 3-1. Emory & Henry put it back to 3-2, but the Cobras scored another three en route to a 6-2 win. These runs included Carter Freeman reaching on a fielder's choice to score Moore, followed by Gaskins hitting a two-RBI double that scored Fair and Cribbs.
Game 2: This matchup started off fast for both teams, with a combined six runs scored in the first inning. It was split down the middle, with the Cobras scoring three in the top of the inning. This started off with Moore hitting an RBI single to score Fair and was followed by back-to-back RBI singles from Palmer and Freeman to score Moore and Gaskins, respectively. The Wasps took the lead in the bottom of the third, but the Cobras had two dominant innings of play (top of fifth and sixth) en route to a seven-run scoring run. First, an RBI double by Gaskins scored Moore to tie it, followed by Gaskins scoring on an error to take back the lead at 5-4. They closed out the fifth with an RBI single by Freeman to score Andrews and an RBI double by Cribbs to score Freeman to make it 7-4. The three-run top of the sixth started with a bang when Fair hit a solo shot to make it 8-4. The scoring was rounded out for the Cobras when Andrews doubled to score Gaskins, followed by Cribbs walking in a bases-loaded situation to score Andrews to extend their lead to 10-4. The Wasps attempted to make a comeback, but the cushion that the Cobras had built was enough to secure the sweep!
