Cobras Fall to No. 23 LMU in SAC Road Matchup

HARROGATE, TENN. – The Coker College men's basketball team fell to the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters on Saturday (Dec. 3) in a South Atlantic Conference road matchup by a score of 115-74.

The opening seven minutes saw neither side pulling ahead, as the matchup was deadlocked at 15. The tight play continued as LMU lead by just two with 9:47 left in the opening half. Lincoln Memorial would surge ahead on a 15-0 run over the next three minutes to take a 38-21 lead. LMU would not look back as they led by 18 at the half and picked up the eventual 115-74 win.  

Four Cobras finished in double figures, JaQuez Motley leading the way with 15 points. Jake Barrett finished with 14 points, while Miguel Priest and Nathan Lemke scored 12 and 11 points. Priest also pulled down seven rebounds, while Lemke finished with five.

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday (Dec. 6) when they host Limestone College. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
