ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson University softball team used solid pitching and a total of 26 hits to score 22 runs on its way to defeating nonconference SIAC opponent Clark Atlanta winning game one, 14-0, and claiming the nightcap, 8-0, on Friday evening at the AU Softball Complex.

INSIDE THE BOXES
Leading the Trojans at the plate on the day was senior Cailah Niles batting 3-for-4 while drilling two home runs and driving in seven RBI. Junior Joshlyn Martin went 5-for-7 with a double and two RBI while junior Kasey Grant batted 3-for-5. Sophomore Meghan Majeski batted 4-for-7 with two stolen bases while third baseman Breanna Hagerty went 3-for-6 with two RBI. Senior Rachael Barefield was 1-for-1 in game one with a home run.
Senior Randee Bettis (3-1) picked up her third win of the season surrendering just one hit while striking out six.
Freshman Kayla Pepper (4-2) pitched a two-hit shutout walking one and striking out four on the night.
