The Mars Hill volleyball team (9-2, 1-1 SAC) downed Coker (1-7, 0-3 SAC) in four sets Saturday night to pick up their first South Atlantic Conference win of the season.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (9-2, 1-1 SAC) downed Coker (1-7, 0-3 SAC) in four sets Saturday night to pick up their first South Atlantic Conference win of the season.
Mars Hill took the first two sets 25-15, 25-16, but fell in the third, 25-19. They responded with a dominant 25-10 fourth set, hitting a match-high .381 in the frame. The Lions' defense racked up seven total blocks (four solo blocks, six block assists). Mars Hill hit .200 on the night to the Cobras' .123 and claimed their ninth win in 11 matches.
The match on Saturday marked the first four-set match the Lions have played in the 2021 fall season.
