EMORY, Va. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (8-5, 4-4 SAC) was defeated in three sets (19-25, 14-25, 19-25) by Emory & Henry (5-10, 2-6 SAC) Sunday afternoon.
The Wasps hit .330 on the afternoon, committing just nine errors on 97 attempts. Of the Wasps's 41 kills, Grace Duey led the team with 10 followed by Brianna Hogan's nine and Sophia Kaiser's eight. Duey and Hogan both hit over .500 on the day, going .533 and .529, respectively.
Jada Cannon led the Lions with 12 kills, followed by eight from Timmons Yates and seven apiece from both Katilyn Grant and Brooke Hoffman. Jordan Schmucker led the Lions with 23 assists while Laela Jimenez led Mars Hill with 12 digs.
The Lions return to the court on Tuesday, October 10 when they face Limestone at 7 p.m.
