
Mars Hill defeated by Anderson
The Mars Hill volleyball team (10-8, 4-7 SAC) was defeated in three sets (23-25, 12-25, 20-25) by Anderson (21-3, 13-1 SAC) Tuesday night on the road.
ANDERSON, S.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team (10-8, 4-7 SAC) was defeated in three sets (23-25, 12-25, 20-25) by Anderson (21-3, 13-1 SAC) Tuesday night on the road.
Despite hitting .100 with 12 errors, Anderson notched a match-high 17 kills in the first frame of play. The Lions hit .189, a team-high.
The Trojans followed up with a match-high .385 hitting percentage in the second as they stifled the Lions' offense. They closed out the match hitting .302 with 16 kills in the third.
Mars Hill recorded a team-high 13 kills while hitting .132 as a team.
Jada Cannon led the Lions with 10 kills followed by seven from Katilyn Grant. Grant led the Lions, hitting .545 in the contest. Jordan Schmucker recorded 23 assists while Laela Jimenez led the team with 11 digs.
Mars Hill hosts Coker on Friday, October 27 inside Chambers Gymnasium. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
