How It Happened
With senior day being today, the teams decided to not play to clinch today in an effort to make sure each senior gets to finish their match on their special day. The Cobras were already up 1-0 today as Mars Hill only brought five girls, so they started with a win at sixth singles and with an advantage in doubles. Both doubles pairs bageled (6-0) their opponents to move quickly on to singles. In singles action, the Cobras only needed two more courts to clinch a win, but they took each one in dominant fashion to take the 7-0 senior day victory over the Lions!
We also would like to give a special thank you to the four seniors on the team: Bellegy, Banning, Macias, and Drake. Bellegy and Banning came to the program as transfers and have since racked up accolades while wearing Coker colors, so we are grateful for them. Macias and Drake are four-year members of the team, so we thank them for their continued unwavering dedication to their team and the whole department!
