Women’s Soccer Falls at Queens; 1-0

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Anderson women's soccer fell to South Atlantic Conference top-tier team Queens, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at Dickson Field.

With the loss, the Trojans drop to 4-8-1 overall and 3-5 in SAC play while Queens moves to 10-2-1 overall and 7-2 in conference action. The Royals move into a tie for second place with the win over the Black and Gold.

The Royals held onto their lone goal in the 35th minute to claim victory over Anderson.

Queens outshot the Trojans 13-5 while holding a 6-1 corner kick advantage.

Junior Abby Helm recorded five saves on the evening pushing her season save total to 79. Helm currently leads the SAC in saves and ranks fourth in save percentage (.840).

Anderson returns home on Saturday to close out its regular season home schedule when it welcomes Lincoln Memorial to Trojan Stadium. Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m.
