Field Hockey Falls at No. 9 Indiana (Pa.)

INDIANA, Pa. - Coker University field hockey fell at No. 8 Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday (Sept. 24) by a score of 4-2. 

IUP would take a 2-0 lead part way through the first quarter, before the Cobras would get on the board with just over a minute to play when Chase Lennon scored from Delaney Mitchell to cut the deficit in half. 

IUP would stretch the lead to 4-1, before Kaiya Sabur found the back of the net in the fourth quarter to bring the game to its final score. 

The Cobras totaled six shots and four penalty corners in the match, with two shots apiece coming from Sabur and Kabo while Kesley Sithole also had one. Emma Reininga (2-2) made four saves in the contest, while Mar Hondeman made three saves in relief.

Coker (2-2, 1-0 SAC) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 27) to travel to Belmont Abbey for a South Atlantic Conference tilt. The action begins at 4:00 p.m. from Belmont, N.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
