
Senn records four RBI in DH versus Lynn

GAME ONE: LYNN 5, MHU 4
Lynn scored three unanswered runs to come from behind and steal game one from Mars Hill.
Trailing 4-2 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Fighting Knights would score off of a Mars Hill error to pull within one. In the bottom of the sixth with the bases loaded, Olivia Lovins was hit by a pitch, plating the tying run.
Maddie Prickett drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh with a single.
Josey Sumpter opened the scoring for Lynn with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first.
The Lions responded in the top of the third, scoring three runs with RBI singles from Jessica Senn, Farley Park, and Maia Sholter. Senn picked up her second RBI of the contest in the top of the fifth with a RBI double that scored Miranda Marks.
Senn led all players with three hits and two RBI in the game and paced the Lions' offense as they outhit Lynn 11-6. Marks added two hits and two runs scored.
Kristyn Ezzo was credited with the loss, allowing four runs on four hits in 5.2 innings pitched. Maddie Prickett picked up the win, allowing just one hit in 2.0 innings thrown.
GAME TWO: LYNN 6, MHU 2
The Fighting Knights completed the sweep, scoring five unanswered runs in game two.
Jessica Senn drove in two runs with a single to right field in the top of the third, giving the Lions their lone lead in game two. In the bottom of the third, Lynn scored three, highlighted by Morgan Scala's RBI single.
An infield single off the bat of Destiny Torres plated two more runs in the bottom of the fifth, capping off Lynn's five-run stretch.
Aymee Godmaire led all players with two hits and drove in one. The Lions had seven players record one hit in the contest while Senn led all players with two RBI.
Kayla Gallagher suffered the loss, allowing four runs on four hits in 2.0 innings pitched. Maddie Prickett earned her second win of the day, throwing three scoreless innings while allowing four hits.
Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday, February 11 when they face West Liberty and Nova Southeastern. First pitch for game one is set for 10 a.m. while game two is slated for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
