
Coker Takes Down Anderson, Move To 8-0
Big second half pushes #17 Coker past Anderson on the road Wednesday night.
Anderson, SC. - Coker used a big second half to amount a comeback at Anderson Wednesday night. A late shot from Landon Butler proved to be the difference, as Coker now moves to 8-0 on the season, continuing its best start in school history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Anderson jumped out to an early first half lead as they were ahead 11-5 through the first four mintues of gameplay thanks to multiple fast break layups. The Cobras continued to battle as they have all season taking the lead at the under 12 media timeout. From there the Trojans took the lead back, and held it into the break at 46-44. Xavier Harris was a brightspot for Coker in the first frame pouring in 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting from the field with 5 steals and 5 rebounds in the first half. Ian Blue and Jamie Muldowney each poured in seven to help pace the Cobras.
In the second half, the Trojans lead extended to five with 13 minutes remaining. After back to back baskets from Landon Butler and Jamie Muldowney, Coker started its run. With six minutes remaining the Cobras lead by three after Sebastian Cole burried a three pointer. Both teams went back and forth over the course of the remaining six minutes. After a Andre Wright Jr. layup to cut the Coker lead to one with under a minute remaining, Landon Butler drove from the right wing to the paint pulling up to burry a much needed bucket. Anderson had a chance at the buzzer, but it was Coker holding on, and returning to Hartsville with a 100-97 win.
Muldowney poured in 13 of his team high 20 points in the second half on 4-5 shooting, while draining all 4 three pointers he took in the half. Cole added 11 to help pace the Cobras. Xavier Harris continued his stelar play from the first half, logging 18 minutes in the second half. On the night Coker shot 47% from the field while making 35% of their three point attempts. They forced Anderson into 20 turnovers on the night, while outrebounding the Trojans 36-31.
