Baseball Takes Control of Double-Header on the Road

 Game-1 W 8-6

The Cobras looked to grab an early lead as they had one goal in mind: to score every opportunity possible. So, they did as Nic Curtis came up to the plate in the second with a runner-in-scoring opportunity. Curtis got a hold of one hard towards the shortstop that resulted in an error and Evan Fisher scoring giving the cobras an early lead (1-0).

Although Southern Weaslyn put some runs together this did not stop Coker from producing some runs of their own. Cutris yet again came up big for the Cobras as he flew out to score Donovan Frayer on an RBI. In the next inning, Nicholas Marola, with a swing of the bat, found the grass as he put one in left-center, and scored Cameron Ferrel.

The Cobras were rolling as Curtis yet again put the ball in play and help cut the lead 4-6 scoring mar on an unearned. Jaylen Mack got on the hitting train as he singled up the middle scoring Fray and Jacob Yarberry tying the game at six a piece.

Coker fought through four extra-inning until the top of the 13th Keaton Anderson flew out scoring Ferrel giving the Cobras the lead. Mar extended the lead by hitting a double into left field scoring Vining and winning game one (8-6).

Game-2 W

The team looked to keep the night rolling as they wasted no time in game two as Vining singled to third and scored Marola giving them an (1-0) lead. Jackson Williams singled and moved up to second on the throw as Ferrel rounded third and scored giving the team their second run of the game (2-0). The Cobras had not given up a run since the 5th inning of the first game and eventually let up one in the fourth. The Cobras went 11 innings without allowing a run. Vining up to the plate again wasted no time as he singled into left scoring Ferrrel from third and giving the team a two-run lead again (3-1). Coker went on to grab the victory (3-2).
