
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry University Women's Tennis Team (3-13, 2-10 SAC) and Men's Tennis Team (1-15, 0-12 SAC) each fell in their final South Atlantic Conference matches of the 2024-25 season to Tusculum University Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers won both matches by a 4-0 final score.

Men's Match
- Tusculum picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point and a 1-0 advantage.
- Sophomore Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) won the opening set 6-4, before dropping the second 0-6. He was trailing 0-1 in the third set to Nathan Matsuguma when their No. 1 singles match was left unfinished.
- Freshman Leo Knothe (Hanover, GERMANY) was defeated 1-6, 1-6 by Anton Krondell at No. 2 singles.
- Junior Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) fell 3-6 in the opening set and was down 1-3 in the second to Isaac Wolff at No. 3 singles.
- Junior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) trailed Angelos Avgeris 0-6, 3-4 at the No. 4 singles position.
- Junior Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) was defeated 2-6, 4-6 by Sarthak Sharma at No. 5 singles.
- Senior Alvaro Garcia (Madrid, SPAIN) dropped a 2-6, 0-6 decision to Alex Izquierdo Leon at the No. 6 singles spot.
Women's Match
- The Pioneers earned a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles and a narrow 7-5 victory at the No. 3 doubles position to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Senior Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) dropped a 4-6, 1-6 decision to Elodie Baechler at No. 1 singles.
- Freshman Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) trailed 2-6, 2-5 at No. 2 singles against Ylva Frafjord Landa when their match was left unfinished.
- Freshman Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) was down 3-6, 2-5 to Valeria Diaz at No. 3 singles, but their match was unfinished.
- Junior Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) fell 4-6 in the opening set and was behind by a narrow 2-3 margin in the second when her No. 4 singles match versus Jimena Rivera was unfinished.
- Sophomore Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) was defeated 0-6, 1-6 by Samira Butt at No. 5 singles.
- Sophomore Meghan Moore (Midlothian, Va.) fell to Katie Bradley 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 singles spot.
