Fedewa Throws Her First Collegiate No-Hitter as the Cobras Cruise past Converse.

 

Game 1- W 9-0

Janae Fedewa was the player of the night. Fedewa came into the game as the Cobra's ace. As she stepped onto the mound Fedewa wasted no time getting herself in a rhythm. Fedewa faced 16 batters and sat down all 16 batters. She went on to throw her first no-hitter in her collegiate career.  Coker took game one with a statement. In just five innings, the team put up 9 runs against Converse in the first game. Led by the bat of Delaney Eaves who went 3 for 3 and an RBI in the game.

Ariana Fair found herself in a scoring position to start the scoring for the Cobras. Brooklynn Stueness found an opening in the right field knocking in Fair. Eaves singled to left driving in Fair who scored three times in the first game. Kayla Oswell with a swing of the bat drove in two runs putting the Cobras up (7-0). Hannah Davis helped the Cobras put the finishing touches on the game driving in two more runs and ending the game at the top of the 5th giving the team a (9-0) lead and win.

Game 2- W 10-4

The Cobras came out a little slow giving up their first runs of the day in the second inning and trailed (0-2). Eaves did not stay quiet long in the second game. Waking her team up by putting one over the center field's fence and giving Coker the lead (3-2). Carter Freeman second time up singled into center field scoring Davis. Stueness looked to break the game wide up with a second home run in the game grabbing herself two RBI's and putting up the Cobras 9-2. Stueness drove in the last run of the game with a ground ball to second scoring Fair putting the finishing touches on the game (10-4).
