How It Happened:
Game 1: It was a close one early on, with the Sand Sharks striking early on in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead. The Cobras struck back in the bottom of the second when Andrews scored on an error to even it up 1-1. A huge top of the third for USC Beaufort is what ultimately sealed the deal as they scored seven runs in that period to go up 8-1 heading into the bottom of the third. The Cobras were able to get one back in the bottom of the third with Andrews doubling to score Ariana Fair to make it 8-2, but that was the end of the scoring in that one for the Cobras. USCB scored two more runs and this game ended after the bottom of the fifth with a final score of 10-2.
Game 2: The Sand Sharks built a lead in the first two innings that included two home runs en route to a 5-0 lead. The scoring for the Cobras got going in the bottom of the third, answering back with two runs of their own when Moore and Freeman scored on an error by the left fielder to make it 5-2. In a big response to the Cobras' runs, the Sand Sharks scored another four runs in the top of the third to make it 9-2. However, the Cobras had another response in the bottom of that inning, first with a Moore single to score Freeman and then with a Savanah Fowler single that scored Moore and Cribbs to cut it back to a 9-5 game. USCB scored another two runs in the rest of this one, and Coker was given another one with a sacrifice fly from Delaney Eaves to score Lacey Hennessy in the bottom of the seventh. Game two ended with a final score of 11-6 in favor of the Sand Sharks.
