Lions close out 2024 versus Cavaliers

WISE, Va. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (4-7, 2-7 SAC) was defeated by UVA Wise (7-5, 4-4 SAC) by a score of 103-73 Wednesday night on the road.
The Cavaliers led by 11 entering the half, putting up 50 points in the first half. Shooting nearly 57 percent from the floor, the team was led by the duo of Bradley Dean and Evan Ramsey, who netted 13 and 11 points, respectively. Ramsey led the team with four rebounds.
Mars Hill, shooting over 51 percent, was led by Kory Davis and his 11 points. The duo of Kadyn Dawkins and Blair Crutcher each added seven apiece. Daniel Mayfield and Dinari Boykin led the Lions with three rebounds apiece.
UVA Wise went 22-of-32 in the second half, clicking at nearly 69 percent. Dean posted 11 more points followed by nine from Lav Cvetkovic. Davis led the Lions again with eight points in the second half while Crutcher matched his first half total.
Dean led all players with 24 points followed by Ramsey's 19 on the night. Davis led the Lions with 19 while Crutcher put up a season-high 14, going 6-of-11 from the floor.
Mars Hill kicks off 2025 on the road versus Catawba on January 4 at 4 p.m.
