Heed and Stinchcomb Lead Coker Women's Tennis to 6-1 Victory at Spring TennisFest

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Coker College women's tennis team defeated Edinboro 6-1 on Thursday (Mar. 7) at the Spring TennisFest.

The Cobras swept doubles play with Charlotte Clarke and Tammie Chew winning in #1 doubles (6-1), and Zoe Heed and Kelli Stinchcomb picking up a victory in #2 doubles (6-1).

Stinchcomb submitted the most dominant performance of the morning, beating Paige Morris 6-0, 6-0 in #5 singles. Zoe Heed won her third match of the season at #3 singles, downing Jelena Vucenovic 7-5, 6-1, while Lea Weber posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory in #4 singles.

The Cobras will be back in action on Tuesday (Mar. 12) when they open up South Atlantic Conference play at Catawba. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
