
Team Effort Leads Coker Past UVA Wise
Jamie Muldowney poured in a team high 21 points, as Coker moves to 2-0 in SAC play
Wise, VA. - Coker took a nine point halftime lead into the break, and continued it throughout the second half, earning a 103-93 win to improve to 2-0 in SAC competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker used their speed to help take a 55-46 lead into the break at UVA Wise on Saturday. The Cobras forced eight first half turnovers, which led to multiple buckets for Coker.
It was a balanced attack at the break with Glenn Bynum, Max Hurray, and Sebastian Cole all scoring in double figures. Cole added three assists additionally to help pace the Cobras balanced attack. 9 of 11 Coker players scored in the first 20 minutes of game play.
Through the first five minutes of the second half, Coker continued to push the pace growing their lead out to 72-58 after Jamie Muldowney drained a three. The Cobras continued to speed UVA Wise up into tough decisions, which allowed the Cobras get into their transition offense.
The Cobras enjoyed a lead comfortable lead for the majority of the second half thanks to multiple Cobras, who shared the ball well all night. Coker was able to pour in 103 points on 25 assists to help control Saturday's game.
Coker outscored UVA Wise bench 52-12, which ultimately proved to be the difference as Muldowney and Hurray poured in 21 and 18 points to lead Coker.
Ultimately Coker held on throughout the remainder of the second half to take home a 103-93 win.
