The Cobras fall on the Road to Anderson
The Cobras lose 18-4 to Anderson on the road.
Anderson, SC: The Cobras were on the road to finish out this week of conference games. The Cobras traveled to Anderson, where the Cobras fell to the Trojans 18-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1ST PERIOD
- The Trojans started hot, taking a 3-goal lead after 8 minutes of play.
- Mia MacMillan got the ball behind the cage from Kate Halcro. MacMillan scanned her options and sent the ball into Amanda Arguello, who slotted the ball between the keeper's legs to get the first goal for the Cobras and make the score 1-3 with 7:43 seconds left to play in the first period.
- The Trojans went on a 3-goal run after the Cobra's first goal of the game.
- Mia MacMillan made a run around the cage trying to find an opening to score. MacMillan was then tripped up by two Trojan defenders and was given a free position shot. MacMillan took full advantage of the opportunity as she sent a powerful shot into the ground that bounced straight through the Keeper's legs to give the Cobras their second goal of the day.
- Olivia Schmidt had a good period as she registered 6 saves in the period.
- 2ND PERIOD
- The Cobras came out in a flash as Mia MacMillan got her second goal of the day. After a give and go with Madeline Fontana, MacMillan ran towards the goal before being tripped up once again, being rewarded a free position shot. Just like MacMillan's last FPS, she sent the ball right through the Keeper's legs to bring the Cobras within 3 goals with most of the second period to play.
- By the end of the 2nd period, the Trojans led 14-3.
- 3RD PERIOD
- After the halftime break, the Cobras came out strong once again as Kate Halcro and Mia MacMillan combined once again this season to give Halcro her first goal of the day and MacMillan's second assist of the day.
- The Cobras dominated in the draw controls in the 3rd period as the won 3/5.
- 4TH PERIOD
- The fourth period had slowed down for both teams on offense.
- Only 1 goal was scored for either side in this period.
- Olivia Schmidt was the biggest reason for the slowdown in scoring as she saved 7/8 shots on target this period.
NOTABLES:
- Mia MacMillan leads the Conference in both points and assists.
- Olivia Schmidt had the most saves in a single game so far in her career with 19.
